The Quest: energy, security, and the remaking of the modern world

This lesson adds a perspective on the general subject of Energy through the discussion of the Pulitzer-Prize winning author Dr Yergin who gives students a flavour of the point of view on energy as written in his important book: “The Quest: Energy, Security, and the Remaking of the Modern World”.

It is considered to be the follow-up to Yergin’s 1992 Pulitzer Prize winning history of oil, “The Prize”. It describes the development of the current energy system and prospects for the future.
Dr Yergin’s discussion is mainly focused on the biggest developments and changes in the oil industry, economy and policies worldwide. It also provides insights on energy geopolitics future scenarios.
