Climate change: issues, policies and international agreements

The lesson addresses climate change and climate change’s negotiations. Furthermore, it focuses on the institutions that are designed at the international level to manage climate change and to identify climate change policies.

A lot of progresses on climate change issues have been achieved in the last 20 years: science has reached better and better results and technology is advancing. in the years ahead, we should keep the focus on both economic development and climate change because the success of the challenge of climate change is related both to economic laws and economic development in all countries.

As a member of the policy board of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), prof Carraro gives students an overview of the international negotiation process concerning climate change: the issues, policies and agreements that institutions are facing with regard to climate change, and how this process has been developed over the years.
