How reusing can affect our lives [4.1 REUSE]

DOCUMENTARY OBJECTIVE

WRITTEN NARRATIVE PROPOSAL

Reuse is a word so much important at this time. It means using again the objects that someone no longer needs, giving them new life. Reuse is one of the fundamental values our lives today should be based on, especially from the social and environmental point of view. So many people confuse the word “reuse” with “recycle”, but they have a different meaning. The first refers to using an object as it is without treatment. This reduces pollution and waste, making it a more sustainable process because it saves the energy that comes with having to dismantle and remanufacture products.

We have different ways to reuse dresses. For example, we can give the clothes we no longer use to charities, so other people can reuse them. We can modify the dresses and turn them into accessories or us strips of a t-shirt to make a hair band. We can modify them by cutting a t-shirt that we don’t like and turn it into a top. We can reuse objects in a creative way like transforming a t-shirt into a bag for going shopping at the market with style.

At the same time, we have different ways of reusing glass bottles. An example is to reuse the glass bottle to create table lamps: you put inside little lights and we have creative and fun lamps. We can reuse glass bottles for transforming them into plant pots. In this way we have a beautiful vase for our favorite flowers and decorate them with a unique design. This can be done with both glass bottles and plastic bottles. It’s possible to reuse glass bottles to put inside spices or sauces, like tomato sauce, or reuse glass bottles as pen holders for our desk. We have a lot of projects we can do at home to reuse different objects.

Also, you can reuse a material like wood in the home because it is very valuable and longlasting. You can reuse it to create shelves for books with different forms or to create an original seating area in your garden. All the above are creative ways of reuse that you can apply every day and save a little part of our planet and all the life on it.
